Jaguar is England's famed automaker, and although the company has changed hands in the recent past, the factory is still located in Britain.
The British auto maker has announced a series of improvements to the2014 Jaguar XJ in an effort to allure more drivers towards this sedan, which is their flagship model.

Engine
The engine range encompasses a whole range depending on your preference and trim. The XJ, available in AWD, and XJL Portfolio AWD comes with a 3.0 liter V6 supercharged engine that produces 340 horsepower; XJL Portfolio, with a 5.0 liter V8 giving you 385 horsepower.
The other three engines have which are available in the XJ, XJL Supercharged, XJL Supersport and Ultimate, and the new XJR come with a 5.0 liter V8 supercharged engine but vary in horsepower, ranging from 470, 510, and 550 horsepower.
All these engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic with a start/stop system. Jaguar claims it takes less time to restart it than it takes for a driver to move his foot from the brake to the gas.

The XJ has a fresh, modern design, including the drop-dead beautiful roofline, with runway-model sensibilities as well as sail-away rear pillar right from its stamped grille to the bugle-beaded LED tail lamps.
The styling of the rear is polarizing; its tucked-in look may seem under styled or amusingly different.
